Volunteers from twelve (or more) Christian churches in Severn, Odenton, and Gambrills participate in THE CHRISTIAN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, INC. (CAP) which provides the following services:

FOOD PANTRY
Canned and dry goods donations to the CAP Food Pantry can be dropped off in the closet in the storage room off the Narthex. Items are delivered by volunteers to the CAP Food Pantry on a semi-regular basis as donations accumulate.

The CAP Food Pantry is located at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8397 Piney Orchard Pkwy, Odenton, MD 21113 (Manager: David Vitchock 410-987-1043). The CAP provides free food to qualified clients. It also provides 175 families with food for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Hours of operation are TUESDAYS from 11 AM to 1 PM and THURSDAYS from 3-5 PM. The CAP Food Pantry is closed if:

• Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) are closed.
• Tuesdays: if AACPS have a delayed opening due to weather conditions.
• Thursdays: if AACPS have early dismissal due to weather conditions.
• Closed July 4th, week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
